Hardpoint, a Call of Duty classic, is back for Modern Warfare 3, bringing the team-based mode to the classic Modern Warfare 2 maps for the first time.

Each map has five hardpoints, each open to capture for 60 seconds. Your team must simply enter and hold the hardpoint zone, scoring one point for each second you hold. After a minute, the point rotates to a new location, but the order of the spots is always the same. Knowing when and where the next hardpoint will spawn can give you a huge advantage over your opponent.
The Hardpoint game mode is also found in the Call of Duty League, the highest competition for professionals in the game. However, not every map is selected, as it may not offer the right edge.
