Getting ready for a wedding is always a rush, especially for the bride. Picking out the dream dress, finding the perfect shoes, and choosing the glam are just a few of the dozens of things on the checklist. So often, a bride-to-be can have just a few days before the big day to freshen up her locks.

Hairstylist @hairbysuzi knows the feeling. “My new client here is getting married in two days,” she shares on her Instagram reel, showing how she manages to cover up roots and create an expensive blonde look. Ideally, multiple appointments are needed to fix this kind of banding. But when every minute counts, it’s time for Plan B (with “B” being bride). Five hours later — the bride’s hair is shiny and ready to steal the stage!

The hair pro admits that she has some serious roots to deal with, as the regrown area extends to the mid-lengths. The colorist comes up with an idea to smooth out the harsh line in both directions by adding a lightener (blue bleach powder for better lift) to the roots and diffusing a darker color through the middle.

The trick is to blend the virgin roots to match the already white blonde ends. The fine weaving technique helps to achieve a blended brightness in the roots, but it also takes time and effort. The finer weaving techniques in the front are especially challenging, but the result is worth it!
