Stardew Valley Lingcod is one of the fish we need for the villager missions. If you settle in Pelican Town and start unlocking the blocked or inaccessible places on foot, you will get this mission in Year 2. With it, you can use the fish to earn more than the Friendship points. It is a seasonal exclusive fish that is also specific to limited locations if you do not use a special type of bait. That is where we will help you lead you to it, so stay until the end to know how to catch it in SDV.

Fishing, breeding them in the fishpond and buying them from the vendors are all ways to get cod in SDV:

Lingcod can be caught in Pelican Town or Cindersap Forest River, and in Mountain Lake in winter, regardless of the time. It is a predatory fish with mixed behavior and high difficulty, so you should consider using the Trap Bobber or the Deluxe Bait. Increasing your fishing level to 6 or higher would be a good choice. At level 6, you will unlock Bait Maker, which allows you to make bait for the specific fish. If you want to fish for it in any season, you can use the Magic Bait.

In the beginning, the maximum capacity of the pond would be 3, but with the Pond Capacity missions you can increase it to a maximum of 10. If you plan on growing them in the pond, you should complete those. It's not necessary though, you can just place one and wait three days to get another. Roe is usually produced in the pond at all populations, but Bug Meat only has a 4-5% chance at 9-10 populations.
