Thumpers are one of the many enemies you can encounter while playing Lethal Company. These creatures telegraph their presence with massive vibrations and stomps, so it's a good idea to know how to protect yourself from them.
Thumper Guide for v47+ Lethal Company
Each creature has a strategy to deal with, and a good way to learn this strategy is to get close enough to scan them. A Thumper won’t be slow to react when you get close, so make sure you’re ready to run if you’re about to be defeated. Here’s what you need to know about dealing with Thumpers in Lethal Company.
Unlike the blind Spider in Lethal Company, Thumpers are deaf. They usually spawn in pairs and roam the entire Facility in search of their next victim. Without legs to support themselves, the Thumper drags its body across the floor with its arms. This creates loud thumping noises, giving it its name. The Thumper can only be spotted by its eyesight. Its vision is impeccable, making it incredibly difficult to avoid its gaze if you are spotted in a narrow path.
Due to their lack of hearing, it is best to hide behind a corner or quickly go through a doorway, preferably closing the door behind you. Thumpers spend most of their time running around, giving you a chance to escape their gaze. They tend to hover around the main entrance, making them a nasty monster to deal with. Make sure to keep an eye out for "nearby activity" on the outside of the main entrance before you happily enter the facility.
