After another monster game against the Los Angeles Dodgers last night, Cincinnati Reds shortstop Elly De La Cruz cited his love of Grand Theft Auto V as the reason he consistently performs so well in Southern California.
Los Angeles or Los Santos?
Last night against the Dodgers, De La Cruz had one of the best games of his MLB career, with four hits, three runs and four stolen bases. De La Cruz, who has built a reputation as one of the fastest players in baseball, leads the majors in stolen bases with 30 after last night’s blistering performance. For reference, 18 entire teams in MLB have fewer than 30 steals among their entire roster.

"My first time in the US was here in LA," De La Cruz said in a post-game interview. "I also played a lot of GTA when I was little, and I like the city, so that's why I say this is my city. When I was little, I always said I was born in LA, this is my city."
