Headbands are officially back in style. Classic jersey headbands, bandanas, and beaded headbands are making a big comeback, bringing back the hair trends of the 90s. They’re cute, stylish, and so easy to wear that you’ll never get tired of them. And the best part is that headbands, like all other hair accessories, go with any outfit.
How to keep your headband from slipping off #shorts
Before you jump on the bandwagon and start rocking headbands in 2024, you’ll want to know some handy tricks and tips for a flawless hairstyle. A common problem that every headband fan faces is the accessory constantly slipping off your head. So, without further ado, here’s your sleek headband hack for a polished look.
Wide headbands are everywhere these days, but they can be tricky to wear. The reason for this is the way the hair accessory sits on your head. The traditional way to wear a headband is to place it right on your hairline or slide it back a few inches to add some loose strands around your face. This can cause the elastic to slide off your head, ruining your hairstyle (and mood, of course).
To prevent this, separate your front sections before putting on your headband. Once you’re done, place your hair accessory at your hairline and grab a section just behind it. Secure this section to your front section with a clear elastic band, keeping your headband in between. Repeat the process on the other side of your head. Pull your mini sections through the opening and cover them with the rest of your hair. This will create the illusion of a behind-the-ear look, which will also keep your headband securely in place.
