In Prince of Persia: The Lost Crown, you'll encounter the Water Wheel Puzzle in Lower City early in the game. This is one of the first obstacles you will encounter while trying to find Menolias in the forest. Once you complete this intense puzzle, you will have to confront the Undead Prisoner and defeat him.

However, to begin this battle and continue your journey into the forest, you will first have to solve the complex puzzle. Since most players can't figure out how to turn the water wheel and use the pressure plates in the ground, here's a complete walkthrough you can follow so you can open the locked door and head into the Hyrcanian Forest.
To solve the Water Wheel puzzle you must first jump onto the pole located at the bottom of the wheel and located in the middle, between the two pressure plates. You then need to jump from this pole to the other, towards the top left corner. You can go around the pole so you can gain momentum and make it easier to jump onto the second pole.
From the second pole you have to turn again, jump and hold the lever on the wall. Now release the lever, jump up and press the switch on the ceiling. The timing of this process must be precise and once you reach the top, you must jump strategically so that you don't fall without flipping the switch.
