If you’ve read our guide to all the animals, you’ve probably wondered what the Stardew Valley Slime Hutch is all about. While slimes can’t really be considered animals, they are available to raise just like any other animal, so it’s better to put this fictional creature in that category. Like Coop animals, they hatch from eggs and give a product that is used to obtain a sellable item.
It is a lot more work to set up, hatch, grow and extract the item from the slimes than others on the farm. Now that you are here, you don't have to worry about that anymore. We have answered everything you need to know and do with this building.
There are no requirements to unlock the Slime Hutch, you need to order it from Robin using money and items. You can find Robin in the Carpenter's Shop from 9:00 to 17:00. The shop is located in the northeastern part of Pelican Town. You will need these items to place the order:
The construction is completed in two days and you need to use the 11×6 tiles for the building. It can hold up to 20 slimes. After purchase, Marlon will visit you and provide you with your first Slime Egg.
