This braided half updo hairstyle will make people wonder how on earth you can create cross Dutch braids. And you don't even have to know how to make Dutch braids, because… they're not!
This is what you need to do. Isolate two very clean rectangular sections on the top of your head. The top line should hit approximately the center of your parting. Then create basic braids that point forward. It is best to use some gel or cream to keep the braids neat and loose. Tight braiding, but then pulling on a few strands, also gives the best result.
Then create two neat ponytails just behind the braids. Make an opening in one of your braids, twist it back and pull the ponytail on the other side through that opening. Repeat on the other side.
