VALORANT Patch 8.10 exclusively features a significant overhaul of the game’s starter missions, or “Welcome Contract,” alongside only a few bug fixes. But major metagame changes aren’t far behind.

Today’s VALORANT patch brings a new Basic Training Event to replace the current Welcome Contract. This new in-game event offers clear missions and milestones for new players to complete, unlocking rewards like player cards, sprays, titles, Radianite for upgrades, and more. Players who previously completed the Welcome Contract will already have all of these rewards unlocked.
Aside from this new beginner event, a few bug fixes that address issues with shooting after closing Cypher's Spycam, and an unintentional restart of Clove's Pick-Me-Up timer, there's nothing major in Patch 8.10. But there's plenty to look forward to when 8.11 arrives.
On the agent balance side, duelists will take center stage, with Iso and Neon getting much-needed buffs. Raze is getting nerfs to her Satchel movement abilities, and Reyna will be adjusted to a more team-oriented role after years as a solo queue ranked staple.
