The best bet is to travel north from the Roadside Cliffs waypoint or west to the Emeral Grove Environs waypoint in the game. You will come across a Cragged Rock area with a ladder you can climb up. After that, you can continue forward with the coordinates in mind and you will come across another ladder. Use it to climb up and you will come across an area with a wooden pole in BG3. Here, players will need to pass a Perception test to reveal the Rocky Crevice in the area.
