YouTube, one of the largest content creation platforms in the market, has announced that it will experiment with the use of artificial intelligence to better help its creators develop new content. In the short term, the AI will work with video creators to help generate ideas for videos.

This AI system for social media creates unique content every day! (100% automated)

The tool, announced on May 3 via Google’s YouTube test features and experiments blog, is intended to help small content creators pitch AI topics and then develop a potential video idea, while providing additional context on how the creator can improve audience reception. Google is trying to help smaller creators better understand their audience by creating the targeted content that can help the creator get more views and engagement.

At the moment, this generative AI is only available for English-language channels. To access this tool, the creator must navigate to YouTube Studio, then Analytics, and finally Research on Desktop. The tool will reveal what kind of content viewers want to see more of in videos, specifically for the creator’s audience. There is no way to request this generative AI: creators are chosen at random and it only applies to English speakers. It appears to be in beta at the moment.

The ultimate goal is for creators to understand their audience and what they’re looking for in a video. This was all outlined on YouTube’s support page, which clarifies which users have access to this technology. Another approach the AI will use is to brainstorm ideas that the creator has never used before on their channel. The goal is to produce more content within the creator’s existing themes, incorporating innovative ideas that have never been seen before on their channel.
